As I sit here sipping my cup of tea, and snuggling with Rhea, I’m watching the outside world go by and enjoying a few moments of quietude.
The sun is shining brightly, and it’s a bit cold outside, but I’m enjoying sitting here in my little bubble of love, basking in silence and stillness.
Do you ever allow yourself to enjoy a morning like this?
And do you ever allow yourself to just sit in stillness?
Or do you feel the morning pressing in on you?
You’ve probably got things to do, people to see, and a job to get to or a business to run, and all of that gets your attention before anything else.
I, on the other hand, like to take a different approach in the morning.
All of that stuff is still there for me, but it’s waiting for me to give the signal that I’m ready to begin.
Until then, this is my time, my space, and my journey.
In any case, the question that the Akashic Records has given me to ponder today is, “What is standing in your truth?”
And this peaceful, quiet time in the morning is one of the best times to think about this sort of thing.
What Is Standing in Your Truth?
Interestingly enough, this question can be answered in several different ways, depending on the context or intention behind the question.
Among many other things, it might reflect a desire to understand your life’s purpose or ensure your actions are aligned with your values and goals.
At any rate, let’s look at five different interpretations of what this means.
Self-Reflection
Knowing what standing in your truth means to you may require you to assess your current situation, including where you are emotionally, mentally, spiritually, or in terms of your life goals.
In doing so, you can ask yourself questions like, “Am I happy with where I am?” or “Am I living in alignment with my values?”
Personal Identity
From a personal identity perspective, standing in your truth involves exploring who you are at your core, determining what defines you, and how you see yourself in relation to others and the world.
Purpose and Direction
Another way to look at this is as a way of becoming more aware of what your life’s purpose is, and the direction you need to go to remain in alignment with that purpose.
From this perspective, you should ask yourself, “Am I clear about what I want out of life?” and “Am I taking meaningful steps toward those aspirations?”
Relationships and Influence
This kind of question can also be intimately related to your relationships and the level of influence you’re able to exert in those relationships.
If this is your perspective on this question, you should ask yourself, “Do I stand in my truth in relationships?” and “Do I feel empowered, respected, and understood?”
Empowerment and Agency
Exploring this question, as it relates to your empowerment and agency, offers another way to think about it.
And if this is what standing in your truth means to you, then you should start thinking about how you can fully embrace who you are, and how you can take ownership of your actions and decisions.
Now that we’ve covered all of that, the Masters of the Akashic Records want me to ask you, “How do you stand in your truth?”
What You Can Do to Stand in Your Truth
I know this can be difficult, and depending on how you look at it, it can feel like a real chore.
But you don’t have to look at it that way, and it can be incredibly fun and fulfilling.
At any rate, once you’ve done this enough, you’ll realize how empowering it is, as you’ll be able to change, adjust, and reevaluate your life from moment to moment.
What’s more, standing in your truth can help you to change any behavior pattern in your life, including things like anxiety and depression.
After going through this exercise with a group of clients, we received inspiring answers from the Akashic Records for each and every individual, and the excitement that was created from all the possibilities was astounding.
In any case, once you decide how you want to stand in your truth, then you need to figure out how to maintain that stance.
With that in mind, I’ll give you a very simple, straightforward way to anchor in your stance, whatever that might be.
This technique can be life-changing, but you must be willing to take the time to do this and commit to following through as much as you possibly can.
Start by picking an area you want to focus on out of the five interpretations we explored above.
And as you move through your day, try to ask yourself questions and hone your skills of awareness to determine whether you’re standing in truth during every moment of every situation.
For example, you could ask yourself, “Is this part of how I want to stand in my truth?”
This might sound tedious, but it really isn’t, and you can have a lot of fun with it (I know I have).
After doing this countless times myself, I’ve realized that standing in my truth involves being someone who’s open-hearted, loving, and willing to evolve spiritually.
And I make sure I’m aligned with those goals by ensuring consistency in my actions and paying careful attention to myself and my behaviors throughout the day.
In these situations, I’ll ask myself, “Is what I’m feeling or doing in alignment with how I want to be in this world?”
When this happens, I’ll hold out my left hand at waist level to represent the low frequencies of existence and use this as a no response.
And when I hold out my right hand at my heart level to represent where I want to be, that’s the yes response.
This may seem trivial, but these hand movements are important because they break the flow of energy, which makes it much easier to redirect.
For example, I once met with a friend who had previously claimed she didn’t smoke but I could smell the cigarette on her breath and she was lying to me about it.
And when someone does something like this, which I do not care for, I’ll have a reaction to it.
When that happens, my left hand being held out represents the reaction, which is caused by what’s known as victim energy.
But if I hold out my right hand, this symbolizes staying in a place of neutrality and realizing it is my friend’s life and her decision, and her action had nothing to do with me.
Needless to say, my decision was to choose the right hand of neutrality.
And as soon as I made that decision, all of the other low frequencies I was experiencing immediately dissolved.
It didn’t matter that she was smoking or that she had lied to me, as I no longer had to take what she did personally. She knows how I feel about smoking, so I didn’t need to say or do anything about it.
To say this was worth the effort is one heck of an understatement!
Because once I was able to reject that victim energy and stay within the higher frequencies, this all became automatic for me, and now, every time it happens, I instinctively begin to move out of those lower frequencies.
Oh, the joy of being free of the effects of other people’s actions!
That being said, I’m still somewhat aware of my old way of reacting to others, but it is very fleeting.
And I’m excited to say that I’m no longer weighed down by the negativity that I’ve created in my life and I’m happy that I’ve discovered how to stand in my truth and live my life with a feeling of empowerment.
But now that you’ve read about my experience, and how to go about doing this, let’s explore some of the benefits of standing in your truth.
The Benefits of Standing in Your Truth
Standing in your truth means living in a way that’s authentically aligned with your core values, beliefs, and purpose.
It involves embracing your unique self and expressing it unapologetically in all areas of your life.
With that in mind, here’s a breakdown of some of the benefits of standing in your truth:
Self-Awareness
Having the self-awareness to understand who you truly are allows you to look beyond societal expectations and external influences.
What’s more, it helps you to recognize your strengths, weaknesses, desires, and fears, while being more honest with yourself about what you need to thrive.
Integrity and Authenticity
Living in alignment with your inner beliefs allows you to have greater integrity and authenticity, which helps you to resist pressure to conform, especially when it conflicts with your values.
And it makes you more likely to make choices that honor your principles, even when they’re difficult or unpopular.
Emotional Honesty
Embracing your emotions without suppression or shame allows for genuine self-expression, which helps to align your actions with who you truly are.
Moreover, observing emotional honesty will also help you to set healthy boundaries that protect your emotional well-being, and it’ll allow you to be vulnerable in relationships, which helps to foster deeper, more meaningful connections.
Purposeful Living
Standing in your truth allows you to feel more comfortable taking intentional steps toward fulfilling your passions, regardless of what those might be.
And when you live your life based on the values of your true self, rather than operating like you’re on autopilot, your daily actions will be more likely to reflect what truly matters to you.
Courage and Resilience
Honoring your truth and living more authentically can also make you more resilient when facing things like judgment, rejection, or failure.
What’s more, staying committed to your path, even when external challenges arise, helps you to build resilience and deepen your authenticity.
Spiritual Alignment
Standing in truth can also be beneficial because it tends to involve maintaining a connection to guidance or intuition from a higher power.
This kind of spiritual alignment helps you to trust the insights you receive and more confidently apply them to your life, which can provide greater clarity and fulfillment.
In other words, my dearest friends, if you put in the time it takes to do this kind of introspection and actually stand in your truth, you will have freedom in your life like you’ve never experienced before!
